A word from our Founder during these extraordinary times . . .
Please forgive our product shortages. As many of you know, we’re a small company in the British Virgin Islands. The last few years have been extraordinarily difficult for us. On September 6, 2017, Hurricane IRMA tore through the BVI with sustained winds of 185 mph, gusting to 250 mph. It wrought havoc everywhere. One-third of the BVI’s 7,000 homes were destroyed, two-thirds of the BVI’s yachts were sunk or damaged beyond repair. And if this wasn’t enough, two weeks following, MARIA, another Category 5 hurricane, ripped through the BVI causing more damage on top of damage. For Pusser’s and all of us here, it was devastating. Our location on Marina Cay was totally destroyed. Nothing left. Pusser’s at West End was left with walls standing only. The same for the Pusser’s Painkiller Bar and Pub in Roadtown. And our warehouse and offices were torn apart, causing a total loss of all our inventory. And now the pandemic for all of us. On the latter, like you, we have little choice but to follow the rules and wait it out. Here in the BVI, we’re on total lockdown and have been for months: no flights in or out, no cruising yachts, no ferries and no cruise ships. Meanwhile, we’re using the time to finish the rebuild here.

The rebuild now finished, patrons return.
We look forward to seeing you here again soon.
Our first task was to get our units rebuilt and open, including our warehouse and office. This warehouse was completed about three months ago. The units still need a little work. When we were able to re-launch our e-commerce store, the sales response was much greater than we anticipated, causing us to run short on sizes and colors for some popular items. We apologize for this. I understand the disappointment that this engenders. I know, too, that this can be a total ‘turn-off’ for many of our patrons. Fortunately, a solution’s close at hand. Before the end of June, we should be well-stocked again, and will drop you a note when the task is about completed. Meanwhile, I ask your forbearance, and that you please stick with us. I thank you greatly for your loyalty and support over these past 40 years, and wish you good health and a speedy return to whatever’s ‘normal’ for you at this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Charles Tobias,
Founder
